It’s been a while, and things have been utterly crazy. I haven’t been writing as much as I’d like to, and while that’s always the case, it’s more the case than usual right now. I’m starting a PhD program, just moved to a new city, and am generally in a state of upheaval and I know I’ll find my feet soon, but not soon enough.
In the meantime, I have a few new publications:
My poem, “Tasting,” just came out in Twisted Moon Magazine #4, and is available for free online. Dreams & Nightmares Issue 110 also came out this month, and has my poem “Particularities” in it. It is not available free, but you can look into buying a copy of the magazine here.
I also have some upcoming travel where I’ll be at some SFF conferences:
First, VCON October 5th-7th, 2018
I’m here for the Aurora Awards, as a first time nominee for my very first published poem “Meat Puppets” which appeared in Polar Borealis last year. I’m not on any panels, but if you see me around come say hi!
Then, Can*Con October 12th-14th, 2018
This is my first (non-academic) convention where I will be a panelist…. AND A MODERATOR. So exciting, for both. My appearances are as follows:
Friday, October 12th, 5pm, Salon C:
Space: The Economic Frontier (Moderator)
Saturday, October 13th, 2pm, Salon F:
20 Ethical Questions from Star Trek (Panelist)
Sunday, October 14th, 2pm, Salon F:
The Evolution of Privacy (Panelist)
You can also find the full schedule for everything here. Beyond that, I seriously encourage anyone who can to come to this con. It is my favourite con so far, and the team does an amazing job to make sure everyone has a great weekend.
Thanks, as always, for reading, and for caring. ❤
I hope you all have the best Autumn.
